Young Teacher in School of Life Sciences Published Important Scientific Research Paper on Tumor Signal Transduction in PNAS October 14,2022 Interleukin 6 (IL6) is an important cytokine, which plays an important role in the anti-infective immunity of organisms and wound healing. Abnormal secretion of IL6 is closely related to many diseases such as cancer, diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Nan Jing, young teacher of the School of Life Sciences, has conducted in-depth research on the mechanism of transcriptional regulation of IL6. The paper entitled "IRF9 and unphosphorylated STAT 2 cooperation with NF-kappa B to drive IL6 expression" was published in PNAS on March 26, 2018. This is the third paper published in PNAS since 2011 by Professors Yang Jinbo’s group. The first author of this paper is Dr. Jing Nan and the correspondent authors are Jinbo Yang and Professor George R. Stark from Cleveland Clinic Medical Center in the United States. This work was conducted by Dr. Jing Nan during her visit to Professor George R. Stark's research group in the US. The project is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
