主要从事植物发育生物学研究,致力于解析调控植物生殖发育与根系建成的机制,在植物:1. 胚胎发育;2. 根系构型,包括侧根个体发生以及根序(rhizotaxis)建成,等研究方向取得了一系列进展:
1. 胚胎发育:发现母体组织与胚胎组织的信号交流特异性影响胚根的发育模式,进一步揭示了植物调控后代孕育的复杂性(Nature Plants,2022)。
2. 根系构型:发现并提出早期侧根原基的对称性破缺事件(symmetric breaking)及其调控机制,该时序性结点是侧根新生长轴和分生组织确立的分水岭,为继续深入学习侧根个体发生奠定了基础(PNAS,2017);发现并提出新的调控植物根序建立的机制:已形成的侧根建成细胞或早期侧根原基能够在其周围一定范围内抑制新的侧根建成细胞或早期侧根原基的形成 (Current Biology,2013)。
